St. Joseph and the Helpers Charity
Children of the Sewers
Medjugorje Youth Festival Program
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
St Joseph & The Helpers Charity
is dedicated to re-building the lives of children and families whose lives were torn apart during the wars in the former Yugoslavia. Widespread ethnic cleansing left millions of families homeless and in dire need of help. This charity has been established to help restore stability in the lives of those most affected. A program has been established to help with poverty relief, humanitarian aid for education and healthcare, sponsorship of orphaned children, building orphanages, school and homes for the elderly.

CHILDREN OF THE SEWERS

Jaime Jaramillo is the founder of a Colombian organization Ninos de los Andes (Children of the Sewers)  and a Nobel Peace Prize nominee.  He has helped over 30,000 children from the streets in Columbia.

His life was changed one day when he was walking down the street and saw a homeless girl run out in the street to grab a doll box that had dropped off a passing truck.  This poor, dirty little girl who was living in the streets picked up the box and smiled broadly, catching Jaime’s eye as she had found this wonderful treasure. But just then a truck came barreling over the crest of a hill and struck and killed her.  Jaime then picked up the doll box only to find that it was empty.  He later helped a girl who he found on the street with massive burns. When he took her home, she led him into the sewer system under the city – where Jaime realized thousands of parentless children were living in the filth and squalor.
He and his organization provide food, medical attention and clothing for these children of the under world.  Thank goodness for people like Jaime.

We need your donations so that we can help Jaime continue to help the Children of the Sewers. If you would like to make a tax deductable donation click on the button below. You can donate in $10.00 increments. Thank You for your support.

Medjugorje Youth Festival Program

The Medjugorje Youth Program is a program Wayne started in 2009. Wayne and his Assistant Mary wish to take deserving Teenagers to Medjugorje every year for the Youth Festival. The youth festival is such a wonderful time of the year for any teen to visit. We feel the Medjugorje Youth Festival is an inspiring, joyful event which will help the youth grow in their faith. What better way, then to have Our Blessed Mother show them
the way.

YOU DID IT!!!!! Thanks to all of you for your donations.

Alexander Cothren, Caleb and Joshua Maddox are on their way to the 21st Annual Youth Festival in Medjugorje.  All three boys would like to thank you personally, so as I said before we will pray for each and every one of you on the top of Cross Mountain. All other intentions you sent our way, will be prayed for also. The boys are excited, the passports have arrived, and the packing is starting soon. So please keep us in your prayers for a safe and wonderful pilgrimage. We will tell you all about it when we return.

Thank you and May God continue to Bless You
